In the name of Allah

The last solar eclipse of the twentieth century on August 11,1999 was only one more reminder that Iran is endowed with a list of situations and attractions far longer than meets the naked eye.
Though a mere astronomical coincidence that lured a large number of tourists from all over the world to Isfahan as the most recommendable place to observe the heavenly wonder. the occasion seems have served to enliven the picture of Iran as a rich tourist rendevouz.

What about the next 35 years till the next eclipse, whether it will be best observable in Iran or not? There are several ethnological occasions, natural situations and archaeological sites in the wonderfully varied land of Iran to amuse more than one class of tourists.

To begin with, the landscape has fascinated generations of travellers through centuries. In very few other countries the climate changes so adventurously, as you move even on the road, from cool and breezy to brightly sunny and warm, to mysteriously cloudy and misty.
A few hours drive from the hilltops of the Alborz mountains in the north of the capital, where your
plane lands, takes you to the outskirts of desert where the Silk Road carvanserai of the early Islamic period still stand.

Later, a plane may take you to the other end of the same plateau where the beauties of Kerman and other southern Iranian sites, including Persepolis, are as inviting as ever.

Iran is not a package of scenes to be seen and shelved as a faint memory. it is still a kaliedoscope of exciting visions to be rediscovered by the individual visitor as they move through places, things and people.A visit to Iran could be a journey into natural scenery as well as a voyage through ages, peoples, conquerors and achievements. Above all, it helps make friends from among our contemporaries.

No itinerary through Asia is complete without a stay in Isfahan and a call at Kerman. No globe-trotter could afford to have only read about Persepolis, a stunning relic of the past civilizations, standing uniquely all the way between the Mediterranean Sea and Far East.

To help facilitate such an exciting expedition, the Tourism and Recreationol Centers Organization (TRCO) of Iran offers a variety of services inside the country and at the representing agencies nearest to where you organize your tours.

We are eagerly waiting to host your patrons at the indispensable sites of Persia.
